Stump Removal
Stump Removal in Raleigh
Stumps ground below grade and cleared away so the spot is level and ready to reseed or plant over.
A stump left in the yard is a trip hazard and a mower problem, so grinding it out below grade means the spot can be seeded or planted over rather than worked around. Francisco grinds down past the root flare so there's no ridge left once the grass grows back in.
Where there are several stumps from the same job - an old removal, storm damage, or a bed that's being cleared - he'll do them together rather than charging out separate visits. The grindings either get hauled off or spread back over the hole, whichever suits what you're planning for the space.
What's included
- Stump grinding below ground level
- Grindings removed or worked back into the soil
- Root flare cleared for a flush finish
- Multiple stumps handled in one visit
- Area left level and ready to reseed

Francisco and his crew did an exceptional job. We had a small tree and a shrub that needed removing, two small stumps, trimming of our very tall crepe myrtles and holly trees, English ivy removal, weeding, cleaning up of flower beds in front and back yard, and more. They cleaned up everything so well that the only way you could tell they were there was because the yard looked so great. They were very fast, prompt, reasonably-priced, and professional. I very much enjoyed working with Acorn, and I will definitely call on them in the future. I cannot recommend them enough.
I would like to comment on the recent work performed by Acorn Tree & Shrub Services. They removed three large trees and did so skillfully, taking great care to avoid damage to surrounding trees and shrubs. Francisco was easy to work with and paid close attention to detail, ensuring everything was addressed, from protecting the lawn to thoroughly cleaning up afterward. His pricing was reasonable, and I would confidently hire him again for future work.
Francisco and his team were excellent! A big tree of mine fell over in a storm recently. They removed the fallen tree, a nearby damaged tree, the stump, and even cleaned up some broken limbs from neighboring trees. They were extremely coordinated, brought all the right equipment, and were done in less than an hour. I'd recommend these guys anytime!
