Fire Rope & Glass Cleaning
Fire Rope & Glass Cleaning in Crickhowell
Fire rope replaced and glass cleaned so your stove seals properly and stays clear to look through.
The rope seal around a stove door wears and perishes over time, and once it does the stove draws air from the wrong place instead of through the vents, which affects how it burns and how much heat you get. I replace the rope and check the door's sealing properly against it.
While I'm there I'll clean the glass of built-up soot and tar so you can see the fire again, and check over the rest of the seals while the stove's open. Small job, but it makes a real difference to how the stove runs.
What's included
- Old fire rope removed
- New rope fitted to door and seams
- Door seal checked for a tight fit
- Glass cleaned of soot and tar
- Check for any other worn seals
- Advice on keeping glass clear

Just had my wood burner fitted a few days ago. I am over the moon and extremely satisfied with my woodburner install, by Mr Joe Robbins & Partner. Extremely, friendly, honest, hardworking and professional. Joe Robbins ordered all the equipment required for the fitting and charged a fair price. Work was carried out in a neat, professional and timely manner. I would HIGHLY recommend Mr Joe Robbins to anyone as he will provide you with 5 * service and you wont be disappointed. I wish I had my woodburner installed years ago.
Had the log burner fitted today and couldn’t be happier. The price was really competitive, but what stood out most was the service. He turned up exactly when he said he would, worked around my schedule, and answered all my questions. He also gave me loads of useful tips and advice, not just a fitter, but someone who genuinely helps you figure out what you actually want. You can tell he’s got years of experience and puts that on the table to make sure you get it right. Highly recommend!
Joe was absolutely brilliant with advice on what we needed and we opted for the Dartmoor 5 on his recommendation. The work was carried out quickly and left very clean and tidy. It looks fantastic and is massively better than our old Woodburner. Joe also sorted out some issues we weren’t aware of whilst installing it so now also have peace of mind that it’s all safe and sound. I would highly recommend using this company.
