Block paving laid on proper sub-base and compacted, with a clean edge and consistent falls for drainage.
A block paved driveway starts underground. I dig out to the right depth, put down and compact a proper sub-base, then build up with the correct laying course so the surface doesn't move or sink later. Blocks are laid tight, cut in around edges and manholes, then compacted with a plate vibrator.
Once the blocks are down I brush in jointing sand and go over the whole area again to lock everything in place. Edges are finished with a solid restraint so the driveway keeps its line for years, not just the first winter. Old surfaces are broken out and taken away as part of the job, so you're not left with rubble to deal with.
